RE: serving the interests of the community, the T-P isn't the only outlet failing to to a good job. We just staged a media event to share very important news regarding wetlands and water, promoted it to hundreds of media professionals, provided healthy refreshments and a room full of quotable water leaders, and nobody came. Yet the evening news had out-of-location filler, and highlighted the tawdry non-news of a troubled mom and her "abandoned" child found in a park in the Marigny. The press in NOLA are not covering enough news and we cannot thrive as a community if this doesn't improve.
